False eyelash extensions are eyelashes made from man-made material or silk that are bonded to your natural eyelashes with a special adhesive. Much like hair extensions, eyelash extensions look and feel natural, even though they are essentially fake.
Unlike fake eyelashes that are glued to your eyelid in a strip, false eyelash extensions are attached to individual eyelashes. This means that the adhesive does not touch the skin, which is beneficial for people allergic to the fake eyelash glue. If there are allergy concerns, medical grade adhesive can be requested. The salon technician applies adhesive to each extension and attaches it carefully to an existing eyelash. The bond is strong and flexible and looks like a natural eyelash, just thicker and longer. You can ask for a sealant to be applied which makes the bond even stronger.
